We are looking for a passionate, talented, and proactive “Senior Data Scientist” to join the Analytics Platform & Solutions Squad team as Analytics Tech-Product Manager. You will work on the Vodafone Analytics portfolio development and you will be responsible for driving the shaping of new products and vertical solutions and their evolution, defining the functional requirements and product portfolio roadmap. The right candidate will have the ability to perform in a fast, high-growth, highly evolving and multi-party environment and strongly believes that team playing is one of the key approaches to winning the challenge. Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Accountable for proof-of-concept product testing, product portfolio development, deployment and lifecycle management, interacting and coordinating a team of data scientists, data engineers, solution architects, data quality assurance and delivery managers. The scope includes project management responsibilities with focus on prioritization and time management, product performance management, innovation and rationalization; Create and own market requirements specifications and business cases for the product(s). Responsible for taking services through the Group and Italian Gating process; Work in close relationship with key stakeholders in Vodafone Italy (Big Data, Privacy & Legal, other Product Marketing squads, IT Technology and Network), Vodafone Group and external parties including suppliers and Business Partners; Delve into data from different systems, structured and unstructured, both batch and real-time, to discover hidden relationships and useful information, and translate complex datasets into key strategy insights and powerful capabilities for the business; Identify new analytics trends and opportunities to drive the evolution of the Vodafone Analytics Platform. This includes also identifying new data sources and evaluating emerging technologies for data discovery usage. Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Minimum 3-5 years experience in developing, implementing and maintaining Machine Learning/AI models and Optimization Algorithms. Previous experience in performing analytics on cloud platforms is required; Technical Expert, with hands-on experience in cloud environments, Big Data Analytics landscape and architectures, ETL processes and statistics. Experience and knowledge of Spark, Python, GIS and Tableau is required; Knowledge of process design and re-design methodologies, approaches and tools; Past project management experiences with autonomy in delivering the project and proven ability to guide dev team members in improving their skill sets, motivate them and build the Vodafone Analytics’ Platform foundation for future growth. Adoption of agile methodology is a plus; Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical results to non-technical audiences. Must have technical/professional qualifications:

Master’s Degree in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Engineering; Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus.
