Your future plans Market Data is the fuel for decision-making, automated trading, and fundamental analysis within the Energy Trading industry and therefore a key element to enable business growth. We harmonise, store, and maintain thousands of data sources worldwide and make them accessible. As a Data Support Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that our organisation has access to the market data it needs to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the competition. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting dataflow of market data, ensuring it is accurate and timely. We are searching for a problem-solver with a passion for data management and a sound understanding of financial markets. Responsibilities: • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data provided, you will have a direct impact on business operations, making this role critical to the success of the organisation. • Working collaboratively with the Market Data IT Team and our Trading business to ensure that data is being used effectively and accurately in trading decisions. • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data quality and delivery processes to better support trading decisions. • Work on the design and implementation of data processes, including data normalisation, validation, and cleansing. • Respond to data inquiries from the team and other internal stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner. Your powerful skills • Knowledge in C#, .Net Core. • Experience of first-level user support. • Understand database structures and knowledge of database languages (e.g. MS SQL). • Excellent communication skills, showing business orientation and patience. • Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. • Highly motivated self-starter, independent and reliable team player. Advantageous, but not a must • Have an understanding of the energy market and financial products. • Knowledgeable in AWS (Especially EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, SQS). • Worked with Dremio or Databricks. • Knowledge in DevOps software development practices and Azure DevOps. • Openness to code in VB6 when it comes to maintaining legacy applications.
