Professional Technical are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer to work for a leading Automotive manufacturer. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for the motor industry (motorbikes or cars) and have proven experience in design and development. My client is based in the Leicestershire area, where you will have access to work at one of the most outstanding facilities in the UK.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be leading by example and offering support on ongoing and new projects and ensuring that KPIs and deadlines are met. Roles and responsibilities of the Senior Design Engineer: High delivery of the Design & Development of a variation of components on clients' motorbikes. Ensuring that delivery of components adheres to allocated time frames, costing, quality, and specifications. Senior Design professionals are required to pick up technically demanding work. You will be required to focus on intricate detail and delivery. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of detailed project plans to ensure both current and future deliverables are met.

What you will need as a Senior Design Engineer: Degree qualified in an Engineering related subject (Meng or BEng). Advanced user of CREO and surface modelling. Previous design service experience within an Automotive setting is desirable. Technical approach to work and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and make technical judgements. Thinking ahead approach and taking into account any risks or mitigations for their designs while ensuring a strong focus on solid and proven solutions.
