Your new role As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Design Team, responsible for creating products that enhance the company's conveyor systems and product portfolio. Your role will involve product design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating, and process improvement. You will use your expertise to develop detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing, ensuring they align with the company's production processes and machinery. Additionally, you will liaise with the manufacturing team to ensure products are produced according to your designs and provide engineering advice as needed.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need an engineering qualification and a product design qualification, along with a minimum of three years of engineering experience and three years of experience in designing products or parts. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D CAD software is essential, as is knowledge of manufacturing processes and current CNC technology. You must have impeccable attention to detail, the ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and solve problems effectively, and a creative flair for design. Excellent project management, time management, and organisational skills, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, are also crucial. Experience in the engineering and/or food processing sector is desirable.
