ARE YOU A SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT?

Senior Design Engineer required for a well-established company that operates on both a national and international basis. They have considerable investment plans for significant growth and are market leaders for innovation within their niche industry.

The role offers a varied opportunity to get involved with a broad product portfolio, high-profile international clients/projects, and the chance to influence all stages of the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Design Engineer with a background in manufacturing environments. The successful design engineer must have experience with both 2D and 3D design software, NPD through to manufacture, and value engineering. You must demonstrate the ability to liaise with team members and other internal departments, as well as dealing with suppliers and both UK-based and overseas manufacturers. Experience with a range of engineering processes and materials used in contract seating is preferred.

The role will be based within a fast-paced design department, working on high-value projects. Responsibilities include collating project requirements, BOMs, and ordering requirements. You will also be responsible for new product developments, design improvements/value engineering, space planning, and generating manufacturing drawings. This role involves close collaboration with sales, operations, and procurement teams internally, as well as liaison with customers, architects, and senior site teams to ensure project designs are correct.
