This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington or Bicester where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The Opportunity:
In this role, you will lead the design and development of complex engineering projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver innovative solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects and contributing to the advancement of our organisation. What you’ll do:
Work with the interiors design team and form the core of the design group, with the ability to manage and direct a small team of designers and contractors to deliver work packages. Design and development of interior systems and assemblies, having good knowledge and understanding of structural bodies, load paths and joining for low to high volume production. You will require good knowledge and experience of injection moulding, compression forming, back injection and trimming. Be able to create assembly drawings as well as detail drawings, as well as be able to solid model and surface to a high standard using Catia V5. Have good knowledge of interior trim joining techniques and methodologies as well as good knowledge and understanding of materials and covering. Who you are:
The senior design engineer must have previous years experience designing in the automotive industry. Other industries will be considered depending upon the applicant. Previous experience using Catia V5 and preferably 3DX and be able to create drawings to standards BS8888 and or ASME Y14. Have a good eye for detail and the ability to work at the highest level of engineering and take full responsibility for your output. Have a good lateral thinking approach to problem solving and design. Be fully trained in Geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing. About us and our culture:
