Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Ideal opportunity for experienced automotive design engineer to work for a specialised medium sized supplier of low volume precision automotive systems based in Huntingdon. Working on steering systems, this role has full design responsibility for novel and reverse engineered solutions.
What you will do
Create 2D and 3D design solutions of manual, EPAS, and hydraulic steering systems down to component level using Autodesk Inventor. Conduct structural and CFD analysis. Perform DFMEA, customer liaison, and design reviews.
What you will need
Previous component design experience within motorsport, aero, or automotive (not just packaging). Steering experience is not essential but should relate to chassis, powertrain, or suspension. Ability to perform hand calculations or use CAE modules. Must be able to work from Huntingdon and be eligible to work without sponsorship.
