Senior Design Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with JRI Orthopaedics, a leading orthopaedic manufacturer based in north Sheffield, who are looking to expand their innovative R&D team. JRI Orthopaedics offer a comprehensive range of implants and instrumentation and are a trusted medical sector manufacturer of world-class hip and shoulder prostheses. We are looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Design Engineer to join their R&D team and lead the design and development of products working closely with the departmental lead. This is a great opportunity to work in an open environment and develop products in line with a 10 year NPD strategy. As the Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for: Developing orthopaedic products for specific applications Innovating using technology to develop IP protected customer solutions in line with the NPD strategy Assisting the department head with the continual development of the team, working under your own initiative as and when appropriate. Managing NPD projects to support the product development and progression to manufacture Ensuring products meet the relevant regulatory requirements To be considered for the Senior Design Engineer you will need: Specific medical device sector design and development experience Experience of working in a project environment A good level of 3D CAD competence Excellent communication skills and the ability to support more junior staff
