ARE YOU A SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT?
Senior Design Engineer required for a well-established company that operates on both a national and international basis. They have considerable investment plans for significant growth and are market leaders for innovation within their niche industry.
This role offers a varied opportunity to get involved with a broad product portfolio and high-profile international clients/projects, as well as the chance to influence all stages of the product lifecycle.
The role would suit experienced Design Engineers who have worked within manufacturing environments. The successful candidate must have experience in both 2D and 3D design software, NPD through to manufacture, and value engineering. You must demonstrate the ability to liaise with team members and other internal departments, as well as dealing with suppliers and both UK-based and overseas manufacturers. Design Engineers will ideally have experience with a range of engineering processes and materials used in contract seating.
This position is based within a fast-paced design department, working on high-value projects. You will be responsible for collating project requirements, BOMs, and ordering requirements. You will also handle new product developments, design improvements/value engineering, space planning, and generating manufacturing drawings. This role involves close collaboration with sales, operations, and procurement teams internally, as well as liaison with customers, architects, and senior site teams to ensure project designs are correct.
