Senior Design Manager We're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Severn Trent team. You'll be part of the AMP8 Core-Team for the development of schemes from outline design, ECI involvement, and into delivery. Location : South Yorkshire, Sheffield Hours : 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours is available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. What will you be responsible for? In this role, you'll be working within the Design team, supporting them in the design interfaces for the construction and commissioning of a number of upgrades and new treatment works for the supply area during AMP8. Your day-to-day will include: Involved in the ECI and scheme development at outline design, tender design, and support the estimating team. Ensure all regulatory duties of Principal Designer are completed and recorded. Coordinate the different packages of the permanent design and liaise with project construction to ensure buildability, programme coordination, and quality to meet the works information. Support the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence. Prepare detailed design briefs to designers and subcontractors and manage the requests for information to the Client. What are we looking for? This role of Senior Design Manager is great for you if: You have the relevant qualifications such as a degree level or equivalent experience. Strong background in civil engineering design and recent experience as part of a management team on civil engineering design projects in a regulated environment, preferably in the water industry or comparable projects. Knowledge of BIM processes and the ability to use BIM model viewing software specifically Autodesk Construction Cloud.
