Your team will include a Group Design & Technical Manager to drive the strategic agenda and oversee all design aspects for the business and clients. While utilising internal and external resources to present creative solutions that reflect up-to-date trends and enhance client image and brand. Our goal is to reinforce the working outfits reputation as a design-led company. Your new role Oversee all design project outputs, ensuring top-quality designs, presentations, and samples. Work alongside the Group Design & Technical Manager to ensure design department strategies contribute directly to the company’s overarching objectives. Follow trends with fashion and fabric, ensuring they are well communicated. Collaborate with the technical team to innovate in fabric technology, cost reduction, fit, construction improvements, and production speed. Engage with the wider supply chain to identify and implement enhancements in the design function. Oversee the brand colour integrity in the development process, ensuring lab dips are reviewed and approved. Prepare the costing board for products/ranges to provide precise information for costing purposes. Support account management with design-related tasks and focus groups, aligning with client requirements and business operational parameters. Regularly review key garment category blocks to align with fashion trends and customer needs. Control design-related expenditures within budgetary limits. What you'll need to succeed Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar designer position. Proficiency in critical paths and PLM systems. Pattern knowledge (ideal). Factory process knowledge (essential). Strong understanding of garment technical aspects (essential). Familiarity with fabric technical details (ideal). Excellent communication skills, including customer presentations. Demonstrated ability in people management and collaboration. Capability to manage own workload effectively and contribute as a team player. High level of IT proficiency, especially in Excel, Word, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
