Job offered by: Pixel Toys

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously! As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers. We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey! The Role:

Taking ownership of multiple features, you will ensure the quality, alignment with goals, and seamless delivery. You'll collaborate with leadership to deeply understand product objectives, evaluate competing products and conduct technical analyses to inform design and development decisions. You’ll play a key role in developing user-focused goals, creating system designs, data schemas, and sample data. Through breaking down product requirements into actionable plans, you’ll support Product Owners and Producers, liaise with cross-disciplinary teams such as UX, UI, Art, and Audio, all the while ensuring development handovers are smooth and efficient. Beyond development, you'll validate features in partnership with QA, troubleshooting bugs and contributing to content implementation. You’ll be involved in playtesting, balancing and assisting with continuous integration processes to ensure the player experience is fun and of the utmost highest quality. Post-launch, you’ll analyse feature performance, adjust designs to meet KPIs, and engage with community feedback to refine player experiences. You’ll also collaborate on player-facing communications, contributing to a holistic product development lifecycle that prioritises excellence and player satisfaction. About you:

With excellent self-discipline, organisational skills and communication, you excel in conveying solutions at both high and detailed levels. These skills will help you broker scope discussions, negotiate priorities and capture requirements; maintaining detailed documentation as the single source of truth. As a dedicated gamer, you will bring firsthand knowledge of various mobile games, paired with a solid foundation in core game design principles. Your problem-solving abilities and system-level design skills make you a standout contributor in creating engaging, player-focused experiences. Your expertise will also involve metagame systems design, preferably backed by hands-on technical experience in Unity (or Unreal) for implementation and tuning. With a sharp analytical mindset and a deep understanding of numbers, you fully appreciate that well balanced content supports the game’s economy. To really excel in this role you will approach situations and challenges with drive and ambition, honing your ability and charisma to motivate other team members and project stakeholders, both internal and external.
