We are continuing to grow our team and looking for Senior Developers to join us in Edinburgh where you will: Be responsible for leading and overseeing the development of complex applications, ensuring high-quality code, and driving technical excellence across our team. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other business stakeholders to deliver innovative software solutions. Take on a leadership role within the team and mentor junior developers. Provide technical guidance and foster a culture of continuous improvement, taking ownership of the capabilities assigned to your team. Design and develop robust and scalable web applications using Angular, Java and Python, amongst other technologies. Drive and lead best practices for coding standards, code reviews, and ensure adherence to quality assurance processes across the Aegon technology estate. Implement and maintain a strong testing framework to ensure the reliability and quality of developed software. We'd love to hear from you if you have: Deep technical understanding of frontend web technologies, preferably with experience working with Angular. Proficiency with Python, Java or other comparable backend languages. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices for scalable and maintainable code. Expertise in AWS services and architecture, including EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB. Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. Worked collaboratively in Agile / Scrum environments, preferably in a senior or lead developer role. What's in it for you?
