What Will You Be Doing?
Reporting to the Development Manager, this exciting new role offers the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge, scalable, multi-tier solutions that ensure 24/7 operation in Blue Light Control Rooms. These critical systems are hosted across in-house, on-site, and Azure environments, supporting essential services where reliability and performance are paramount. As a key member of the development team, you will bring a deep understanding of application programming and a commercial mindset, leveraging a broad range of development technologies to deliver robust and innovative solutions. This is a chance to contribute to systems that make a real impact, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will drive technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Core Essential Skills Will Include, But Not Be Limited To:
Commercial experience with C# and .NET frameworks. Proficiency in SQL and SignalR development. Knowledge of cloud development and customer-facing websites. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum. Experience with ticket management using Azure DevOps. Knowledge of SpecFlow for BDD.

About You
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in producing high-quality software adhering to TDD and BDD principles, ensuring unit testing, code reviews, and regular check-ins for continuous integration. A strong understanding of system design and architecture is essential to lead technical solution delivery aligned with product development and client project requirements. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential. Additionally, the candidate will build solutions compliant with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and work positively with cross-domain teams to achieve project goals. To meet national security vetting requirements, you must have been a resident in the UK for at least 5 years prior to application.
