About you Experienced Java developer Advocate for Agile development and XP practices such as TDD Strong technical and interpersonal skills Eager to participate, bring ideas and share your thoughts with your team and the wider business Proactive and inquisitive, willing to challenge the norm to help improve the way we work The role As a key member of one of our Scrum teams you will define, build, and deploy new products and features that meet the needs of our expanding customer base. You’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects and see the impact of your work in a dynamic and encouraging environment. We are located in Altrincham, in a workspace that promotes collaboration and facilitates hybrid working with great tech, AV equipment, and flexible spaces. First and foremost, you will be a strong and experienced Java developer, but we’re not just looking for great coders. We’re looking for problem solvers who are keen to share their ideas, challenge our approach and continuously improve the way we work. You'll also be comfortable working with other specialists such as UX Designers, product experts, Test Analysts and, of course, our customers. You'll be working on a modern JDK (we currently use Amazon Corretto 17) and with a variety of approaches such as pair programming, automated testing, and continuous integration - all backed by DevOps technologies such as Chef, Vagrant, Kubernetes, Terraform, Packer and Docker.
