This role delivers development advisory services to agreed outcomes and deliverables within time, cost and quality requirements, promoting the enhancement of value. Responsibilities include: Responsibilities

Winning work and client relationships: Assesses new opportunities by having insight into the relevant markets, supporting bids and supporting growth across the development advisory service line. Maintaining and creating longstanding client relationships, including Client Relationship Management. Technical delivery: Preparing strategies and visions, identifying client challenges, value creation and critical success factors. Preparing outline business cases, with some Green Book experience (excluding economic case). Preparing high-level development appraisals. Developing delivery strategies, with some high-level funding strategy experience. Assisting with development budgets and cost plans. Overseeing development and project management processes. Collaborating with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams through design, planning, procurement and cost management. Promoting the highest standards of safety, health and welfare across the team. Managing a team (or multiple teams) to deliver team and project objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). People management: Providing performance management, technical development and coaching. Climate responsibility: Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of development lifecycle, from site acquisition to opening and disposal. Ability to demonstrate development experience including practical knowledge of appraisals and valuations. Strong commercial acumen and ability to discern and develop value. Ability to work with other team members and external lawyers on transaction documentation. Demonstrable previous experience of innovation, knowledge capture and establishing best practice in service delivery. Demonstrable ability to standardise solutions to drive efficiency, whilst still innovating. People management experience, including talent attraction and retention. Experience in client-side roles with developers, advisory businesses or landowners. Experience across more than one sector. Develops and maintains excellent professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills. Experience working in a consultancy environment. Growth mindset that promotes curiosity, high-quality contribution and team collaboration. Effective appraisal/analytical skills to support reporting. Experience in working on diverse project types. Management experience and capability to take initiative within team environments. Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent). Professional qualification and membership relevant to the role (e.g. RICS/APM) (or equivalent). Additional Qualifications: Technical understanding of strategy and vision development, business cases, project management practices, delivery strategies, funding strategies, programme production, sequencing and logic. Familiarity with operational management and service delivery. Advocate for health standards, safety and wellbeing. Focus on UK markets in residential and mixed-use sectors. Regeneration and local authority partnership experience. Encourages sharing of best practices and lessons learned between teams. Encourages awareness of skills and strengths of colleagues from different technical, social and cultural backgrounds. Strong presentation skills.
