Our client seeks a Development Management Senior Engineer committed to shaping the future of highways. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management and implementation of highway works related to approved planning consistencies, ensuring compliance with obligations and council policies. Collaborate in the formulation and enforcement of transportation policies, strategies, and operational practices aimed at securing economic and community benefits. Oversee specific programme budgets to maximise efficiency and value, ensuring delivery within agreed financial, temporal, and quality frameworks. Facilitate consultations, agree on detailed design plans, and ensure alignment with planning permission conditions through constructive liaison with the Local Planning Authority. Actively involve in extensive stakeholder engagement, providing necessary consultations and advice to local government bodies and the public on highway-related matters. Coordinate and deliver legal agreements to integrate developers' infrastructure works into the public highway estate. Offer guidance and leadership to the team, elevating the quality and effectiveness of highway services provided. Job Requirements:

RQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering) or equivalent professional experience, preferably augmented by membership in institutions like CIHT. Expertise in Highway Legislation, including the Highway Act 1980 and CDM 2015, backed by a robust understanding of design procedures and standards. Proven experience with all applicable Health and Safety legislation related to highway engineering and construction. Strong project management skills, with proficiency in relevant software and project management tools. Excellent ability to forge and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders and partners.
