The Financial Institution/ Regulated FinTech team’s core strengths are across various product lines such as Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Crime, and Cyber. The FI/ Regulated FinTech team is a profitable area of the UK business and has ambitious plans to grow across our financial services sector offering, and we need you to help us do this. In your new role, you will work for a powerful brand backed by an unrivalled claims service. You will join an established and high-performing team who operate within a fast-paced environment. You will need energy to contribute to our winning team while driving your own relationships (internal & external) and pipeline. You will be tasked with broker development, case, and portfolio underwriting. It is essential that you are technically astute, have strong relationship management skills, and are driven by an exceptional service ethic. What You’ll be doing: Underwriting:
Drive the profitable growth of our FI/ Regulated FinTech business. Drive product development, case, and portfolio underwriting. Profitable case underwriting of new, mid-term, and existing business. Lead broker and client visits and underwriting surgeries in London and the Regions as required. Product & wording development, keeping abreast of new risks and exposures. Be a trusted advisor for our brokers, becoming their go-to Underwriter in the market. Pro-active internal & external development:
Develop a strong new business pipeline, including individual large prospects. Build strong professional relationships with our key brokers. Keep abreast of the competitive landscape from market moves to new product launches. Promote and develop FI/ Regulated FinTech products in the regional offices. Training of local underwriters and brokers as required. A deep understanding of your brokers and the development opportunities in the financial services sector. Continually improve your broker and customer interactions using the Hiscox coaching framework. Our Must Haves: Minimum understanding of FI and/or FinTech, with a keen interest to develop expertise in the regulated financial services sector. A passion for building strong relationships and being a trusted advisor. Obsessive about superb service while managing multiple priorities. Enjoys the thrill of the win and overcoming objections. Energy to play the long game (persistence/tenacity) and demonstrable drive, self-motivation, and determination to achieve results. ACII qualification or willingness to progress toward this.
