What You'll Do: Drive the development and adoption of engineering best practices using modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, with a focus on Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), automation, security, and policy/infrastructure as code. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient platforms in hybrid cloud environments. Take ownership of cloud infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis, resolution, and proactive optimization. Implement and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security through best practices, including Helm-based application deployments. Develop and maintain automation scripts and pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management using tools like GitLab CI/CD and CDK. Enhance collaboration between development and operations teams by streamlining GitOps practices, version control, and repository management using GitLab and GitHub. Participate in an on-call rotation to address incidents promptly, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime. Document and communicate platform architecture, processes, and best practices to teams and stakeholders. What It Takes: Experience:

5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, with at least 3+ years working in hybrid or cloud-native environments (AWS preferred). Strong background in software development, with hands-on coding experience in Python and scripting for automation. Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CDK & Terraform Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitLab, GitHub). Advanced experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management (EKS or similar) and deploying applications with Helm. Familiarity with observability tools and building real-time monitoring solutions. Strong understanding of Linux systems (RHEL, Amazon Linux 2) and cloud platforms (AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).

Additional Skills:

Proficiency in database systems (MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB) and messaging systems (SQS or equivalent). Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems in high-availability production environments. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to bridge development and operations teams effectively.

What We'd Like: Experience with GitOps workflows and automation frameworks for application and infrastructure lifecycle management. Familiarity with security-focused development practices and tools (e.g., container scanning, policy enforcement). Contributions to open-source projects or a history of active engagement with developer communities.
