Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Drainage Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading drainage design projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of drainage solutions for a variety of infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong background in drainage design, hydrology, and project management, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership:

    • Lead and manage drainage design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental consultants, and contractors.
    • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical direction and ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Drainage Design:

    • Develop innovative drainage design solutions for a variety of projects including highways, residential developments, commercial projects, and public infrastructure.
    • Utilize advanced software tools (e.g., MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, InfoWorks, etc.) to create detailed drainage models and designs.
    • Perform hydrological and hydraulic analysis to assess surface water and flood risk management.
    • Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Provide expert advice on drainage design and related civil engineering matters to internal teams and clients.
    • Conduct site visits to assess drainage conditions, oversee investigations, and troubleshoot design issues.
    • Prepare detailed technical reports, design calculations, and documentation for client presentations and regulatory submissions.
  • Project Management:

    • Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs.
    • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and ensure project alignment with expectations.
    • Monitor project progress, address issues proactively, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    • Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality management procedures.
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in drainage design, hydrology, and relevant legislation.
