This position offers the chance to engage with diverse and meaningful projects across Wales, England, and Northern Ireland, delivering ecological and landscape assessments for commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

Extensive experience in ecological consultancy within the UK. Advanced skills in protected species surveys, particularly for bats and reptiles. In-depth understanding of UK wildlife legislation and its application in planning and development contexts. Exceptional report-writing and project management skills. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Your Role as Senior Ecologist:

As a Senior Ecologist, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality ecological services. Balancing office-based work with fieldwork across South Wales and occasional travel across the UK, your key responsibilities will include: Leading ecological surveys and assessments. Overseeing the production of comprehensive reports and recommendations. Designing mitigation strategies and habitat enhancement plans. Managing projects, budgets, and client relationships. Mentoring and guiding junior ecologists, fostering their growth and development.
