At the heart of our business lies a group of outstanding people. Working together with our clients, we deliver solutions to challenging problems in Mining & Minerals, Infrastructure & Energy, and Property & Development. The Opportunity: To meet increased demand, we are looking to recruit a senior or principal ecologist (approx. 5-8 years experience) into our London office. In this exciting role you will: Manage and support the delivery of projects; Prepare project proposals; Mentor junior staff in the field; Lead protected species surveys; Compile, analyse, evaluate and interpret survey data; Design protected species mitigation and prepare mitigation licences; Produce and contribute to complex technical reports including Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments and others; Develop project/financial management skills; Be taught the necessary skills for you to advance your career in ecology; As the successful candidate you will: Have four or more continuous years of experience within ecological consultancy; Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline; Hold, or be eligible for, ‘associate member' status, or higher, of CIEEM; Be able to work effectively as part of a team; A full UK driving licence; For all positions we offer: 1.5x pay for work carried out during unsocial hours (10pm - 6am); For our permanent positions we offer: Hybrid home/office working arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days at home); Membership of the Firm's Group Personal Pension Plan, with Employer's contribution of up to 5%; Payment of a relevant professional subscription; 24 days annual leave per year; Membership to the Firm's Private Health Care Scheme; Inclusion in the Firm's Critical Illness Cover Policy; Inclusion in the Firm's Life Assurance Policy, insuring you 3 times your annual salary; Mobile Phone with inclusive tariff including personal usage; Flexi-Time Working Schedule; Long service awards; Travel Loans; Cycle to work scheme; Recruitment Bounty Scheme; Seniority level
