Questar III BOCES announces a full-time (12-month schedule) vacancy for a Senior Education Finance Analyst ( Civil Service Title: Special Education Aid Assistance Service Technician ) based out of our central office in Castleton, NY. This position requires experience working with the NYS STAC Online system and special education management systems and is responsible for providing Special Education Aid support to client school districts and the BOCES.
This position will serve as the frontline resource to client school districts and BOCES to answer questions and requests related to the STAC (System to Track and Account for Children) process; assist with the coordination and development of presentations, training sessions and meetings including, but not limited to scheduling and development of presentation materials utilizing spreadsheets, databases and presentation software; assist with the On-Boarding of Education Finance Analyst; provide advanced support to State Aid & Financial Planning Services on STAC and Excess Cost matters; support and maintain the Special Education Aid Assistance Service client contact database, special education list serve and prepare related reports as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications : Associate degree or higher and three years of experience working within data management systems and/or spreadsheet applications, Special Education or Education Finance. Preferred candidates will have a working understanding of the Special Education STAC process and possess effective communication skills.
