Are you an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer or Specialist Engineer with an Electrical bias looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and innovative environment? Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to be a pivotal member of their engineering team based in a brand new and state of the art R&D & manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. You will support production activities and advance the design and analysis of electrical parts, components, subassemblies, and power distribution systems used in electrical charging systems for multiple industries. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will: Collaborate on New Product Development/Introduction and existing products, applications, and facilities. Develop electrical designs for products, applications, and equipment, including wiring, busbars, component selection, and internal layout design. Perform and document calculations to ensure designs meet requirements. Drive cost reduction and reliability improvements for pre-release or existing products. Support project management, operations, and other functions. Ensure the quality, cost, and design of your work and others' work are optimal. Adhere to Business Management Systems and conduct project and ad hoc duties as needed. Key Skills and Competencies needed as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer: Excellent team player with enthusiasm. Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective at all levels Welcoming and open to others' input. Experienced in balancing engineering risks and business priorities. Ability to develop and implement robust processes from scratch. Strong analytical skills and clear thinking. Comprehensive understanding of engineering systems, processes, and best practices. Quick to assimilate and analyze large amounts of data.
