We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a leading independent building services engineering consultancy based in Edenbridge. This well-established practice has been delivering innovative engineering and design solutions since 1988, working with both private and public sector clients.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will manage a small team, delivering a diverse range of projects, from smaller sites to large-scale, multi-million-pound developments across sectors including healthcare, residential, education, and commercial. You will play a key role in overseeing the procurement of new work, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers, managing project delivery from concept through to completion. Oversee project budgets and expenditure, ensuring financial targets are met. Utilise the latest software to produce high-quality engineering designs. Communicate directly with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project execution. Coordinate with other disciplines and professionals to ensure integrated solutions. Mentor and develop your team, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
What We're Looking For: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design within the building services industry. A relevant qualification (HND, Degree, or Masters) in Building Services or a related field. Membership of a professional institution (or working towards). Previous experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of CAD or modelling software. Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
