Senior Electrical Design Engineer Orion is working with a UK-based electronics design and manufacturing company. The company is a world leader in power quality products and IoT devices with manufacturing in the UK, the Middle East, and the Far East. Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Design Engineer: Significantly participate in product and system design and electrical and power electronics. Oversee testing and bring products into production. Design new automatic voltage regulation and power quality products and develop existing designs. Design power transformers of various sizes and types, from 10VA to 500kVA; training will be provided. Involve in technical discussions with customers and help form and clarify technical specifications. Requirements for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer: Qualified BSc or BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or similar. Experience in industrial electrical and electronic engineering. Practical experience in selecting and sizing electrical system components and materials such as circuit breakers, cables, and switchgear. Experience using power electronic devices. Some electromechanical CAD experience would be advantageous. Understanding of design, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
