We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing team, delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across sectors including chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, and power generation.

Working for our client based in Sunderland, this is a full-time permanent opportunity, ideal for an experienced engineer to take on a leadership role, driving technical excellence and delivering impactful solutions as a Senior Electrical Engineer, in return for a comprehensive benefits package.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Leading electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements Providing technical expertise for the specification, design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems Troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis for electrical systems Acting as Lead Engineer on projects, managing resources and ensuring timely delivery Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to new business proposals Conducting audits to ensure compliance with electrical standards and quality procedures

You will need:

A degree in Electrical Engineering Experience across the full project lifecycle (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC) within relevant industries Knowledge of HV and LV systems, and hazardous area equipment design Strong understanding of electrical design standards, safety, and legislation Excellent project management and report writing skills Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel when required
