Some of the responsibilities include:
Lead building services design projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. Offer technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers. Collaborate with other disciplines to produce comprehensive scheme designs. Skilled in managing design work across all RIBA stages, from feasibility reports and concept designs to spatial coordination, detailed design, construction monitoring, and handover. Ensure adherence to UK building regulations, codes, and standards. Stay informed about advancements in building services technology and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance design methodologies and processes.
Experience and skills required:
Accredited degree in Building Services and substantial experience in a similar position. Actively working towards IEng or CEng accreditation with CIBSE, IET, or IMechE. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of the role. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to clients and stakeholders. Driven, with a strong willingness to learn and grow. In-depth knowledge of British Standards, codes of practice, and relevant design guidelines and standards. Proficient in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, Trimble Pro-Design, and Bluebeam.
