Senior/Principal Electronics Systems Engineer Location : Poole, Dorset Salary : £55-70k Copello is excited to partner with a leading defence manufacturer, specializing in innovative engineering solutions for the marine industry. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to take ownership of product design, system integration, and lifecycle management, ensuring the continued success of cutting-edge naval defence hardware. Key Responsibilities : Act as the Prime Technical Contact for customers, capturing requirements and managing project deliverables. Own system design and development, including creating and maintaining internal electronic architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring technical documentation and compliance with industry standards. Lead design reviews, create system layout drawings, and ensure integration with existing systems. Support bid managers and project managers with technical expertise, product knowledge, and system specifications. Manage obsolescence and adaptations to meet specific customer and country requirements. Key Requirements : Extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly in the defence sector. Strong background in electronic and electrical design, system configuration, and product lifecycle management. Customer-facing experience with a focus on project and documentation management. Proficient in technical documentation, including verification testing plans, system architecture, and compliance reports. Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with a focus on high-quality deliverables.
