Manage the claims exposure of Berkley Offshore Underwriting Managers (“BOUM”). Handle claims proactively and efficiently in conjunction with the prevailing legal and regulatory environment. Ensure BOUM’s claims management controls operate effectively. Effective interaction with all relevant stakeholders. Ensure claims management activities are in compliance with claims philosophy, minimum standards, and individual claims authority limits. Qualifications
Assist in the adjustment, settlement, and management of claims arising on policies underwritten by BOUM in a lead and follow position. Assist in the management of claims and outstanding resolutions in line with the relevant regulatory authorities. Participate in all aspects of innovation. Contribute to enhancements and modifications to claims processes and systems to generate sustained improvements within the department. Comply with relevant BOUM procedures and policies. Represent BOUM at market meetings as a follower and leader. Represent BOUM on external committees. Manage service provider effectiveness including: lawyers, loss adjusters, expert advisors, auditors, and TPAs. Act within established service standards. Assist in the management of Broker and Client relations to ensure proactive communication and the delivery of service satisfaction. Liaise with related functions within BOUM to further effective claims management – Underwriting, Actuarial, Risk Management, Finance, and Compliance. Attend BOUM internal meetings/committees as required.
