Senior Engineer- Electrical Engineering (Power) Salary:
up to £48,000 per annum dependent upon experience Location:
Bristol, Barrow in Furness or Manchester We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading global defence, security, and aerospace companies as a Senior Engineer- Electrical Engineering (Power). The role can be based in Bristol, Manchester, or Barrow in Furness and offers the opportunity for hybrid working (this varies depending on the chosen site) and flexible working hours. As part of the Electrical Verification Team, you will be involved in the verification and validation of the power system through compatibility testing of equipment and power system analysis. You'll be part of a wider multidisciplinary electrical team responsible for delivering a high integrity electrical power system. Main Responsibilities: Producing and maintaining electrical requirements Assisting the team in setup, execution, and analysis of the test results Providing technical guidance to ensure testing is carried out in accordance with the requirements Assisting the team with solving technical issues and queries across multiple stakeholders Collaborating with multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on matters related to the compatibility test facility Preparing technical reports, progress reports, and presentations, communicating results and advising recommendations Benefits: Enhanced Pension scheme- up to 14% combined Flexible working pattern including working from home/ flexible start and finish times 25 holiday days plus bank holidays- 26 days after 5 years service/ 27 days after 10 years service Shared Incentive Plan Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to Work Scheme Life Assurance (you and your spouse/ partner)- 6 x salary Ill Health Income Protection/ Private Medical Insurance- 50% of salary About You: Essential: Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions Knowledge of compatibility testing of electrical equipment and power electronics Desirable: Project Management experience would be advantageous Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
