Senior Engineer - High-End Residential Development Location: Blackfriars Salary: Competitive, Depending on Experience Start Date: Week Commencing 3rd February 2025 We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a prestigious 47-storey high-end residential development in Bracknell. This exciting project has a 52-week duration and involves supplying and installing key components, including door sets, sub-flooring, timber flooring, wardrobes, utility cupboards, and bespoke joinery for reception and amenity areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in similar large-scale construction projects, possess strong technical expertise, and demonstrate leadership in managing engineering tasks and site coordination. Key Responsibilities

Surveying and Quality Assurance

Conducting as-built surveys using a Total Station/EDM for: Concrete slabs Curtain walling Bathroom PODs Drylining Issuing survey reports to the main contractor on behalf of the project team. Ensuring the proper care, security, and maintenance of EDM/Total Station equipment. Setting out sub-floor battens and cradles, ensuring compliance with project specifications and drawings. Performing QA checks during the installation of sub-flooring and completing QA forms via Fieldview, coordinating sign-offs with the main contractor. Coordination and Documentation

Liaising with the Document Controller to issue QA forms via platforms such as Aconex. Attending site coordination meetings with the main contractor and subcontractors. Participating in daily DAB (Daily Activity Briefing) meetings. Site Management

Overseeing labourers and traffic marshals in: Distributing flooring materials. Installing protective measures. Removing rubbish and maintaining a clean, organised site. Working closely with carpenters to ensure installation tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Requirements

Qualifications and Certifications

Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering or Construction Management. Hold valid SMSTS, a relevant CSCS Card, and First Aid certification. Skills and Experience

Technical Expertise: Proficient in using Total Station/EDM for surveying. IT Skills: Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with construction client portals, such as Aconex, Fieldview, M Build, and Sablono. Languages: Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of additional languages such as Ukrainian, Russian, Moldovan, or Romanian is advantageous. Personal Attributes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
