Carmichael UK are seeking a Senior Engineer / Sub Agent to join an enabling works team on a tidal barrier project in Somerset.
As senior engineer you will lead the team in managing the engineering works on site for the next year before the main works start.
This will involve piling, cofferdams, some marine work, earthworks, and more.
You must be comfortable managing a team, liaising with clients, and being the main point of contact on site when the PM is not there.
Responsibilities
Project delivery : Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required objectives. Health and safety : Ensure that health and safety standards are met and that all relevant regulations are complied with. Quality : Ensure that quality standards are met and that quality records are maintained. Cost control : Maintain commercial tension to drive out cost and maximize project value. Site management : Manage and supervise site engineering, and allocate tasks to site engineers. Client interface : Represent the client and assist the primary broker with real estate transactions. Record keeping : Ensure that detailed site diaries and records are completed. Problem solving : Deal with any problems with resources promptly. You will be required full time on site 5 days a week from March. However, an ASAP start is preferred.
