We are thrilled to be supporting a leading, top-performing, and progressive water and sewage company seeking an engineering manager to join their friendly and professional team.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering manager to lead a team of skilled professionals across their Trowbridge and Chilton sites. You will lead the engineering team and site inspectors, managing operations, dividing your time between the two sites, overseeing a variety of activities.

The team operates under tight timescales and budgetary constraints while maintaining effective relationships with a diverse group of customers and stakeholders. As a leader, you will motivate your team, ensure customer focus and maintain operational efficiency in challenging circumstances.

Job Purpose:

Overseeing new developments that may impact the public sewerage and water supply systems. Providing comments and advice on the implications of new sewerage proposals by developers. Assessing proposed sewerage infrastructure for adoption, ensuring compliance with required standards. Procuring and monitoring agreements related to sewer adoption and the diversion of public sewers and water mains. Ensuring adherence to regulatory timescales and budgetary limits. Managing and leading the North and West development team, splitting time between the Trowbridge and Bridgwater offices. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Ideal Candidate:

Holds a degree in engineering (preferred but not essential). Possesses expert knowledge of Water and Sewerage Adoption Codes, DCG, and relevant legislation. Demonstrates experience in SuDS design. Proficient in computer literacy. Holds a full UK driving licence.
