About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Environment Manager to join an Integrated Project Team (IPT) working on one of the UK's most exciting infrastructure projects. This pivotal role is responsible for leading environmental assurance and ensuring compliance with environmental commitments, legislation, and organisational policies. As a Senior Environment Manager, you will guide and support the IPT, ensuring environmental issues are integrated into the design and construction processes. This is a unique opportunity to shape sustainable outcomes on a high-profile, complex programme that will leave a lasting legacy. Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical assurance for design and construction stages, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and laws. Lead on managing environmental risks and developing cost-balanced mitigation strategies. Assure contractor designs align with the Environmental Minimum Requirements (EMRs). Support internal and external reporting on environmental matters and liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Promote sustainability and embed environmental considerations throughout project delivery. Collaborate with technical specialists, contractors, and statutory bodies to develop integrated solutions. About You

You will be a proactive and skilled professional with a strong background in managing environmental aspects on large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have: Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., Chartered Environmentalist). Knowledge of UK environmental law and construction regulations, including CDM. Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in complex projects. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation. What We Offer
