We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy and Water business for an ambitious and talented Senior Environmental Advisor. The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated individuals working in the Energy sector. We are looking for Senior Environmental Advisors who have a wealth of knowledge in managing environmental risk throughout the lifecycle of projects to provide technical support to project teams. Experience or knowledge of energy (Inc. gas) transmission, renewable/green energy infrastructure, flood defence, water and wastewater works, ports, and general complex civils including tunnelling from £10M upwards to major project values would be an advantage. Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise in identifying environmental risk and mitigation, promoting best practice solutions. Provide technical support in measuring project carbon and identification of carbon reduction opportunities and best practice. Work well within a high-performing team and communicate at all levels of the business. Manage the process of obtaining any necessary environmental consents, licences, or exemptions. Manage/mentor new environmental advisors or graduates. Work well under pressure and manage both internal and client deadlines. A thorough knowledge of compliance with environmental legislation and of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems and its implementation. Already experienced as a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in the relevant field. You will have experience providing technical support and advice to project teams, undertaking environmental monitoring, audits, and delivering training and mentoring while supporting continuous improvement to environmental performance. About the Energy and Water team: Our teams work within the energy and water sectors helping customers make the most of their existing assets as well as building new assets to continually improve the UK’s energy and water infrastructure. We do this by putting our customers first, using innovative ideas and challenging the status quo.
