Flexible, United Kingdom Are you enthusiastic about carving your path in the world of environment, ready to contribute to meaningful change, and eager to join a team where your personal values align with a commitment to building a sustainable future? Look no further, as Ramboll is seeking a talented Senior Environmental Consultant to become an integral part of our pioneering journey. If you are curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Compliance, Strategy & Transactions (CST) Team as our new Environmental Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future. Your New Role

As our new Senior Environmental Consultant, you will chart your own course with the support of a dynamic team, lead projects with confidence, and embrace continuous learning to excel in your technical field. This role is about innovation, effective project management, and fostering strong relationships with clients who aim for excellence in environment and sustainability. Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To:

Function as a Project Manager overseeing the successful setup and execution of permitting, environmental compliance, and management systems projects within Ramboll's framework. Conduct comprehensive environmental audits, support large-scale multinational audit programs, and keep up to date with UK regulatory requirements. Utilise expertise in environmental permitting and BAT to evaluate risks and devise effective mitigation strategies and facilitate knowledge exchange within our European network. As part of a team, drive industrial growth and energy transition projects, utilising your environmental risk mitigation skills to effectively manage sustainability challenges, including those related to energy transition and resource efficiency. Develop and deliver bespoke and innovative work packages to assist clients in achieving compliance with the ISO 14001 management system standard. Lead the creation of detailed reports and proposals, maintain consistent client communication, and cultivate strong partnerships for project success. Your New Team

You will be part of our Compliance, Strategy & Transactions (CST) Team operating within our Environment & Health (E&H) Market. As our new Senior Environmental Consultant, you will be part of a fast-growing team providing environmental compliance and permitting support to national and multinational clients. No two projects are ever the same: whether it’s designing and delivering a compliance programme for a multinational data centre operator, setting out environmental design criteria and permitting for a low-carbon plastics recycling plant, or ensuring a food manufacturing site is decommissioned and demolished to the satisfaction of the regulator, we help clients achieve their plans for expansion and change whilst applying a high level of environmental control. As part of the Ramboll family, we are integral to the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects both at home and abroad, and increasingly have the opportunity to contribute to the transition towards Net-Zero across a range of energy-intensive industries. About You

From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role, we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success. These include: Understanding of the environmental regulatory regime applied across the UK and experience of auditing and compliance assessment processes. Excellent report writing skills. Project management experience. Proficient in identifying environmental risks and liabilities. Demonstratable experience in environmental consultancy (or similar level of experience with environmental regulations). What We Can Offer You

Be valued for the unique person you are. Investment in your development. Leaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership Principles. The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company. Flexible work environment. 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Matched pension contributions. Private medical cover and life assurance. Work at the heart of sustainable change. Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company. We believe that the purpose of sustainable change is to create a thriving world for both nature and people. So, that’s where we start – and how we work. At Ramboll, our core strength is our people, and our history is rooted in a clear vision of how a responsible company should act. Being open and curious is a cornerstone of our culture. We embrace an inclusive mindset that looks for fresh, diverse, and innovative perspectives. We respect, embrace, and invite diversity in all forms to actively cultivate an environment where everyone can flourish and realise their full potential.
