Senior EPRR Specialist, Band 7, Permanent role, 1.0 FTE We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior EPRR Specialist to join The System Coordination Centre (SCC), Devon Resilience and EPRR team. This is a key high-profile service delivered by NHS Devon. Regularly working across all acute, ambulance, community, mental health, primary care providers, and social care services to ensure they have robust plans, assurance and escalation strategies to effectively provide patient flow and safety. This includes responses to emergency situations in urgent care pathways, critical incidents, increased pressure or other scenarios. The team also provides intelligence and associated assurance to system leads and national teams. The team provides EPRR leadership and subject matter expertise for NHS Devon and the wider Devon system, undertaking nationally mandated EPRR assurance and representing EPRR across the Devon system to Region and multi-agency partners. Working to the Senior EPRR Manager, leading on agreed areas of EPRR planning and process development to enable NHS Devon to provide an effective response in the event of an emergency or disruptive event. Lead initial debriefings, ensuring lessons identified are recorded and tracked following emergency incidents, training or exercises. Support the delivery of EPRR Policy across the Devon System, working closely with NHS and multi-agency partners. Support the delivery of NHS Devon responsibilities through engagement with Local Health Resilience Partnership (LHRP) partners at the Business Management Group (BMG) level. Maintain professional links with other NHS organisations and multi-agency partners, working collaboratively with them on emergency planning, training and exercising. Contribute to LHRP and LRF working groups, ensuring that NHS Devon and the wider Devon NHS System perspectives are appropriately represented and taken into account. Lead working groups within the Devon system and the LHRP on specific aspects of EPRR work. Provide specialist advice, support and guidance, to Directorate and Service Business Continuity Leads, to aid them in completion of their Business Continuity Plans. About us

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area. Relevant post graduate degree or equivalent level of experience. Diploma in Health Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response, or willingness to study and achieve this, provided relevant work experience is deemed suitable. Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment. Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments. Experience of managing risks and reporting. Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level. Experience of business planning processes. Ability to support the budget setting for a department and/or service. Evidence of continued professional development. Member of relevant professional bodies, if applicable. Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment. Understanding of the public sector. Communication Skills

Skilled communicator with the ability to construct and deliver concise yet insightful communications on complex matters, for dissemination to diverse audiences.
