Job Summary
Our client is a manufacturer of structural steelwork, balconies, staircases, metal balustrades, railings, and glass systems. We are currently seeking an experienced estimator/senior estimator to join their team.
This is a full-time position - Monday to Friday - 08:00am - 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities Estimating structural and architectural metalwork by analysing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Preparing estimates to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy. Monitoring costs through the project and providing updates to senior management. Attending site to undertake initial project and pre-start meetings where required. Establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients.
Knowledge and Skills Experience as an estimator/senior estimator within the metalwork industry for a minimum of 3 years. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate estimates are issued and risk is reviewed. Strong understanding of construction drawings, steelwork specifications, and industry standards. Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs, especially Excel. Strong background in securing successful project bids including negotiating and value engineering. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
