Abatec is assisting their client, a highly reputable Civil Engineering contractor, with the recruitment of a freelance Senior Estimator. Our client is delivering highways and earthworks projects across South West and requires an Estimator with a Civil Engineering background and experience in developing tender strategies, producing activity schedules, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) through to tender submission.
As a Senior Estimator you will: Prepare budgets, cost plans, and BoQs Appraise tender documents Attend strategy & opportunity meetings with the project team Prepare material and sub-contractor enquiries as well as select prospective subcontractors Completion of tender documentation and submission of the tender Initiate technical queries and ensure design is sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings
Our client requires a Senior Estimator with: Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline Strong Communications Skills Experience working on Civil Engineering projects in a similar position Strong IT skills NEC & JCT experience
Salary and benefits include: £375 - £425 p/day LTD
