Are you a Senior Estimator looking for a new role for 2025? James Gray Recruitment is actively looking for a Senior Estimator to join our client's expanding team to be based within their Glasgow offices.
Our client: • A well-established family-run contractor specialising in groundworks and civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities: Analyse project documentation to accurately prepare cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including roadworks, earthworks, drainage, and associated infrastructure. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather and interpret technical information. Lead the preparation of tender submissions, pricing schedules, and value engineering proposals. Monitor market trends, material costs, and subcontractor rates to ensure competitive yet accurate estimates. Present detailed cost breakdowns and justifications to stakeholders and senior leadership.
What you will need to be successful: Proven track record as a Senior Estimator or similar role within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector. Strong expertise in roadworks and associated infrastructure, with a deep understanding of industry standards and practices is also desirable. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly. Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline are highly desirable.
