Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking for a new challenge with a growing and reputable company? You have an exciting opportunity to join a national main contractor operating across the power sector on projects circa £250m. These role have no specific location, but the candidate must be willing to travel to meetings as required in either Derby, Middlesborough, Leeds, Newcastle or Birmingham. You will be working on a varied portfolio of multimillion pound projects and be doing a lot of client facing duties.
My client is looking for four Estimators to work across pricing up substations, cabling, overhead lines and civil engineering. Experience in these sectors is desired however not a must.
The ideal candidate will ideally come from a main contracting background who has experience of working on civil engineering projects within the power and energy.
Duties will include:
• To have strategic responsibility for the estimating function which includes Bid Management and Estimating duties.
• To lead estimating team in producing competitive, thorough, well researched bids and estimates.
• To oversee the parts of the gated business lifecycle that relate to work winning (stages 1-4).
• To support Business Development with client management, engagement and developing work winning opportunities.
• To identify and implement procedural changes to Bid Management and Estimating process and systems.
• To liaise with other Enabling functions such as Business Development, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Commercial etc.
• To ensure collaboration and proactively contribute to teamwork and cross-functional working.
