A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join a leading, expanding fit out company. Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a fast-paced Estimating department and will be a key team member, playing an integral role in estimating and managing projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, on budget and to an exceptionally high standard. Close collaboration with our busy Production and Projects departments is required to ensure the estimating team is fully equipped to present quotations to our valued clients within the deadline dates provided. Key responsibilities Estimate and quote for manufactured joinery and site work as part of the wider Estimating team. Provide a single point of contact for clients during the tender stage and throughout the project life cycle. Control all commercial aspects of each project from inception through to completion including creation and control of an accurate project programme. Follow projects from enquiry to hand-over through to final accounts. Build and maintain excellent client relationships. Communicate company policies; quality control; health, safety and environmental standards to all members of the team. Motivate and inspire teams whilst ensuring effective communication is maintained. Monitor job costings and take overall accountability for a variety of different joinery tenders. Regularly report to company Directors regarding department progress. Beneficial Skills / Qualifications: Experience managing joinery / shop-fitting / commercial fit-out projects. Experience estimating both site works and factory-built joinery. A joinery / construction background and / or a related degree. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel. Goal-minded individual who strives to meet deadlines. A quick learner with a keen eye for detail. Confident managing and leading a department. Highly organised and conscientious individual who is able to effectively prioritise their time. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Confident in communicating and collaborating with both internal colleagues and external contacts. Strong self-motivation and organisational skills. Ability to stay focused and calm during high pressure situations. The capacity to inspire and motivate others through skilful use of appropriate leadership style.
