Job Title: Senior Estimator Location: Middlesbrough Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in steel framing systems, particularly in light gauge steel, to join a reputable construction organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the successful delivery of projects through accurate and timely estimates. Key Responsibilities: Prepare comprehensive estimates for projects involving steel framing systems and light gauge steel. Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand scope and requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for precise estimates. Identify and quantify materials, labour, plant, and time requirements through thorough analysis. Maintain accurate records of all estimates, ensuring timely delivery of quotations to clients. Support junior estimators in their development, providing guidance and mentoring as needed. Communicate effectively with clients throughout the tender process, addressing any queries or concerns. Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures during the estimating phase. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction sector, specifically with steel framing systems and light gauge steel. Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards. Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and colleagues.
