Senior Estimator

We are experts in providing services for a variety of industries including commercial, domestic, and the public sector throughout the UK and Ireland. The Group consists of B.I. Electrical Services, Bel-Air Services, Greenview Gas, Central Heating Services, and Electrical Services Southern. In line with our ongoing strategy for transformation and growth, we are on the lookout for both a Senior Electrical and Senior Mechanical Estimator to contribute to our continued expansion. The selected candidate will have a unique opportunity to engage in the procurement process for both public and private sector projects and contracts. This role involves collaboration with, and support from, the senior team members and wider group as they work on numerous imminent opportunities. The role will be based in either our Carryduff or Mallusk office. Key Responsibilities Interpret construction drawings and details to determine requirements for labour, materials, and specialised services Comprehend the timeline and demands of a project Enter data into Trimble estimating software package and tender specific pricing documents Develop and present detailed estimates or proposals to management. Perform on-site evaluations to gather and organise information from clients Negotiate with clients on pricing, rates, and changes to service agreements Foster sustainable relationships with both clients and suppliers Analyse costs effectively Ensure prompt responses that align with service agreements, timelines, and contractual obligations to fulfil work orders Promptly escalate any issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor Abide by the regulations of the Data Protection Act Carry out additional tasks as reasonably requested by the management team Essential Criteria Comprehension and familiarity with Electrical or Mechanical systems combined with knowledge of pricing techniques are essential Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel Meticulously attentive to details Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and without constant oversight Maintains a strong customer service orientation and exhibits professionalism at all times Exhibits exceptional organizational abilities Communicates effectively and clearly Capable of collaborative teamwork, fostering and maintaining good professional relationships Desirable Criteria Familiarity with building and civil engineering projects and processes Possession of a valid CSR/CSCS accreditation or equivalent Prior experience in a comparable sale or estimating position Excellent negotiation skills and analytical capabilities A strong commitment to ongoing professional growth Additional Information Greenview Group is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities, offering competitive salaries that correspond with experience levels.
