The Marketplace Conference

(MPC) – our flagship event that brings together entrepreneurs, investors and

industry experts focused on marketplaces . Working directly with our Head of Communications and in collaboration with our investment teams, the Senior Events Manager role will be foundational to our brand marketing strategy as we strengthen our position as one of the leading VCs in Europe and beyond. Responsibilities: General event oversight and support Develop and manage Speedinvest’s event calendar to ensure all events (owned, sponsored, attended) are transparently communicated internally and externally, creating alignment between Speedinvest’s investment teams Support the Head of Communications in both the planning and marketing of major conferences and events (Slush, NOAH, WebSummit, etc.) we sponsor and attend as a brand Support investment teams with planning and marketing of major events, as needed Marketplace Conference: Develop a holistic, “end to end” event programming calendar and cadence for the MPC, incorporating various formats throughout the year (e.g. Conferences, Meetups, “VIP Dinners”, etc.) Lead the strategic planning, scheduling, implementation and budgeting of all MPC events from day one to delivery (including venue selection, budget creation and forecasting, contract negotiation, staffing, speaker sourcing etc.) Source and manage vendor relationships (e.g. venues, production agencies, event and creative agencies, online platform providers, etc.), including negotiating budgets and contracts Build, maintain and expand relationships with our network of speakers, sponsors and partners by creating and maintaining an MPC Community forum to connect and engage on an ongoing basis Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the MPC and all related events to increase participation Oversee content development (text, video, graphics) to grow MPC’s online presence e.g.

MPC website , social media (YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter) and all Speedinvest channels Requirements: 5+ years of relevant work experience developing and managing large-scale events (750+) virtually and in-person [ideally external customer or B2B events] Great at establishing and managing multi-channel event experience to boost event engagement through email, web, and social media marketing Experience in internal and external stakeholder management Solution-oriented mentality allowing quick thinking to handle unforeseen problems that inevitably arise with events Strong and effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and influence Venture capital, startup and/or tech experience desired Fluency in English We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
