Salary: Inside IR35 The Role This is an important role assisting the Exposure Management Manager to support Client’s exposure management capabilities within man-made cat. Analysing risk information and developing insights for insurance and reinsurance for internal and external reporting. For this role, exposure management refers to the management of risk accumulations from a wide range of man-made perils to which Client may be exposed, including (but not limited to) casualty, cyber, terror and others. Key Accountabilities Strategy and Planning • Actively contributes to functional strategy development • Arranges own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives. • Develops strategy for their responsible lines of business aligned with the functional strategy • Management team feedback • Timely and accurate delivery of team and personal objectives • Improved delivery in-line with department strategy • Comply with external and internal frameworks, policies, procedures, and regulations • Promotion of Exposure Management best practice in all areas of work • Working towards becoming a subject matter expert in assigned lines of business by pro-actively working closely with Underwriting, Risk and other Exposure Management Analysts • Working towards becoming a subject matter expert in Exposure Management regulatory oversight and submissions Technical Performance • Run established BAU processes utilising SQL, Excel and Python • Independently identify and implement improvements to existing reporting processes • Adapt and develop processes to respond to new requests and regulatory requirements, internal and external • Support EM Manager to identify and work to resolve limitations in Client’s man-made views of risk/accumulation models and approaches • Pro-actively engage on the development of the Exposure Management datamart (SQL), embedding knowledge into the data processes with manager support • Understand and opine on data flows into Exposure Management, taking steps to ensure data is appropriately used by the team Skills & Experience • Strong and proficient MS Excel skills (pivot tables, xlookups) • Data manipulation skills (SQL and Python ideal) • Data analytic skills • Detailed understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance • Relevant Exposure Management knowledge • Knowledge of key Exposure Management regulatory inputs (RDS, BSCR, Standard Formula) • Experience operating within the Lloyd’s environment desired • Experience delivering change projects. • Experience working on a multinational team. • Experience supporting junior members of a team • Experience automating processes and reporting • Experience developing loss methodologies desired • Able to build strong working relationships across teams and collaborate • Self-motivated, able to develop knowledge and skills independently
