About us

These roles are based within our Family Help and Protection social work service. They will be based within our newly formed locality Family Help Teams. These are multi-disciplinary teams including social workers and practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds. The role

It’s an exciting time to be joining Children Social Care in Warrington, as we have been chosen as a Pathfinder authority for the Families First for Children reforms. The senior family help practitioner role will support and supervise our family help practitioners, attending visits or meetings with them where necessary and working with children and families at Child in Need level. They will work closely with the team manager and social work senior practitioner and deputise in their absence. Experience of supervising less experienced staff is desirable. What's needed?

We are looking for practitioners from backgrounds such as Youth Work, education, youth offending, residential support work, and Early Help, who have experience in working with children and families who are in need of support. The candidates should have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and multi-agency working. Benefits

There will be an interview and written exercise. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
