The
Senior Finance Analyst Commercial
is responsible for supporting Abcam's Commercial function through consistent financial reporting and analysis, focusing on our Portfolio and Business Development Teams.
This position reports to the
Finance Director, Commercial & Digital,
and is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team located in Cambridge and will be on site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
This position is for a 12-month fixed term contract as maternity cover.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Planning and Budgeting : Opportunities to support revenue, margin and OPEX budgeting and forecasting, focusing on the business through our products, and commercial partners. Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including but not limited to revenue and margin trend analysis, opex reviews, new product ROI and appraisal of customer agreements. Business Partnering : Opportunity to develop relationships with key business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide financial support. Financial Controls : Support appropriate SOX compliant controls in place for our revenue recognition requirements. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. The essential requirements of the job include:
Qualified accountant. Proven experience in a similar role. Financial modelling and analytical skills (i.e. Excel). Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards. Proficiency in financial planning systems and tools. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
