This position is responsible for managing expenses for the International Consumer Products business. Primary responsibilities include managing budgets, forecasting, long range planning, and monthly close reporting. The role will have regular interaction with the business team and will provide updates to budget owners on how they are spending throughout the year against targets. It will also include responsibility for consolidated expense reporting and variance analysis.
This role sits within the CP global finance licensing FP&A team, where reporting is submitted through International Finance. This role will manage a large and disparate stakeholder group and work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to deliver key deliverables.
Reports into the Sr. Manager Consolidation International Licensing Finance FP&A who is based in London.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Planning and Analysis: Coordinate and load annual budgeting, long range planning, and periodic forecast updates in finance systems (Longview) in line with corporate finance deadlines and deliverables. Variance analysis commentary to prior forecast/prior year. Assist with pulling together regular global consolidation reports for key expense lines. International CP support:
Manages our marketing expense codes and creates new codes for new properties/categories of spend, as needed. Reviewing all marketing, T&E, research, and G&A activity. Provides monthly reporting to all cost center partners, showing their pacing and remaining available forecast. Manages any budget transfers communicated between regions/functions. Supports the quarterly participations expense deduction reporting. Posting accruals/prepayments where necessary, especially at year end. Monitors CBS/Paramount spend for intercompany chargeback between Viacom and those brands. Handling transactional inquiries and questions coming from across the international team. Assisting teams understand how to raise Purchase Orders and Invoices. Other ad-hoc duties as they arise. What are we looking for?
4-5 years previous experience in a finance position. Ideally qualified or studying towards a finance/accounting qualification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to resolve problems and increase efficiency. Strong organizational skills - manage competing priorities and deadlines. Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (i.e. SAP). General Competencies:
